Please join us for our opening evening Weds 13th May 7.00pm – 8.30pm
Open until Saturday 16th May
Really enjoyed the process of the first hang of our group show for the end of the first semester BUT…
France Brodeur’s work focuses on the abstract potential in naturalistic detail and draws out its emotional resonance for the human eye and mind. Exploring the interface between abstract and representational forms, particularly those found in nature and the human body, France Brodeur’s art looks through surface appearances to their human significance especially in terms of universal but deeply personal life experiences such as change and loss. Her art, combining different printmaking techniques – etching, monotype, collagraphy, lasertrans, linotype, and a combination of those – evokes images invested with metaphorical and emotional meanings.
